Background :
I am presently working as Scientist (Senior Scale) in the Socio Economic Assessment and Technology Transfer Division of CMFRI Head Quarters, Kochi, since April 2015. Prior to this, I served as Scientist at the National Centre for Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NCAP), New Delhi for nearly 8 years. I graduated from Kerala Agricultural University, and holds Masters and Doctoral Degrees from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi in the field of Agricultural Economics. I work mainly in the areas of public policy in India’s agricultural/fishery sector with special focus on marketing, price policy, trade, growth and commodity modelling. Apart from research, I was also engaged in teaching post-graduate and doctoral students at the Post Graduate School of IARI during 2013-2015. I had been a visiting scholar at the Department of Applied Economics and Management, Cornell University, New York and at Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI), Iowa State University, Ames, United States. Besides this, I had also served as consultant to SAARC Agricultural Centre (SAC), Dhaka, Food and Agricultural Organization, New Delhi Office, National Council for Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation (NAFED), New Delhi.
