Background :
Started career as Lecturer in Agricultural Economics in Annamalai University, Chidambaram and shifted to ARS in 1992. Joined CMFRI in 1993 after trainings and associated in fishery economics and marketing projects of the SEET Division. After Ph.D, I joined as Senior Scientist in Kakinada RC of CMFRI in 2001 and conducted research projects in fisheries socio economics, status of fisherwomen and evaluation of ecosystems. I got selected as Head, SEETT Division in 2012 and I am coordinating and facilitating the research programmes of the Division. I am currently involved in marine fisheries policy research programmes and in Belmont forum project on Global Learning from Local Solutions.
